In order to assure you that the contribution from an individual, or corporation, will be used in a manner that is consistent with restrictions on political activities under federal, state and local law, South Jersey Families First PAC hereby represents to you as follows:

  • South Jersey Families First PAC is organized under Section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code.

  • In SpeechNow.org v. Federal Election Commission, a federal court found restrictions on individual contributions to independent organizations that seek to influence elections to be unconstitutional. And in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the U.S. Supreme Court decided that limits on corporate and union spending to influence elections were also unconstitutional.

  • South Jersey Families First PAC is registered with the NJ Election Law Enforcement Commission as an Independent Expenditure-Only Committee.

  • Because it agrees to limit its activities to making independent expenditures, South Jersey Families First is not governed by NJ ELEC’s limits on the source of contributions (the ban on corporate and union contributions does not apply) or the amount that can be contributed to an Independent Expenditure PAC.

  • South Jersey Families First may accept unlimited contributions from individuals, corporations, and other organizations and use those funds to pay for independent expenditures that advocate for the election or defeat of a clearly identified candidate.   You or your company's contribution is not subject to NJ ELEC contribution limits or Pay-to-Play statutes.

  • The Executive Order of Governor McGreevey concerning campaign contributions that took effect October 15, 2004 and the Executive Order of Governor Corzine that took effect November 15, 2008 does not affect contributions given to the South Jersey Families First PAC.  Therefore, if you have a contract with the State of New Jersey over $17,500, you may still contribute to South Jersey Families First.

  • South Jersey Families First makes independent expenditures and also may make electioneering communications, but will not directly or indirectly make contributions to political party committees, political action committees, or any other political committees, including the campaign committees of federal, state or local candidates or officeholders.

  • South Jersey Families First was not established and is not maintained, financed or controlled by a national, state or local party committee or a federal, state, or local candidate or candidate’s campaign or officeholder.

  • South Jersey Families First will not coordinate its activities with a national, state or local party committee; federal, state or local candidate or candidate’s campaign committee; or a federal, state or local PAC.

  • You or your company's contribution to South Jersey Families First will not be used in any way that is directly or indirectly prohibited under applicable federal, state or local law.  This includes, but is not limited to, activity engaged in through direct expenditures by South Jersey Families First or through arrangements or donations to or through third parties.

  • You or your company's contribution is for the general use of South Jersey Families First and is not designated for, and has not been solicited for, support of any third-party entity.  South Jersey Families First will determine how to use the contribution in its sole discretion and in compliance with applicable law.
